There’s Huge Demand For Ghanaian Movies – Adjetey Anang


Award-winning actor known in real life as Adetey Anang has revealed in an interview that there’s a huge demand for Ghanaian movie.

The actor [Adjetey Anang] made this revelation known in an interview with colleague actor Nana Ama McBrown on her flagship programme dubbed McBrown’s Kitchen aired on UTV.

The actor prepared Beans stew with Fried plantain on the show [McBrown’s Kitchen]as he was quizzed by the versatile actress his take of the current movie industry.

According to him, in every job, there are ups and down but with the Ghanaian movie industry, I believe there are some challenges that can be solved because there’s huge demand for our movie here and outside.

“Left to me alone there must be infrastructure because I remember SideChic Gang movie premiere the demand was there so our art centers that have been used for churches and other stuff must be renovated so that people won’t travel from far to come and watch movies,” he said.

He continued that, if there are community centers for premiering of movies it will also create and cut down unemployment in the country.

“…Instance made was a person staying at Adenta would love to watch a movie premiere at the silverbird cinemas but looking at the distance the movie lover will feel reluctant to patronise the movie been premiered at the cinemas… so with this there must be community centers so that our movies will continue to make an impact in the lives of people”, he averred.
