We Demand An Apology From The Minister Of Tourism – Nzema Youth

A large section of the youth of Nzema is demanding Hon. Catherine Afeku, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture to render an apology to them, otherwise she will not attain votes from them in the next elections.
According to them, Hon Afeku has shown sheer disregard towards the Nzema Showbiz industry although she hails from the region.
DJ Scott, a presenter for a local radio station Hope FM, who spoke to Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM stated, “We demand that she apologizes to us. If she wants us to vote for her again, she needs to make amends.”
DJ Scott explained that talented musicians within the region were absolutely overlooked in the billing of artistes to perform at this year’s annual Kundum Festival Beach Jam.
The event, which is set to come off on the 9th of September at the Axim Beach Resort will see performances from Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur, D-Black, Sefa, Wisa and Gage.
Though they are thrilled to have these outstanding performers grace the occasion, the Nzema youth demand that, local artistes be given an equal chance to perform.
“There are equally talented musicians in the Western region. We expect that, we will be given an equal chance to showcase what we can do”, Scott added.
DJ Scott further stated that, Nzema has been sidelined from entertainment scenes in Ghana, and the minister has not done much to address this problem.
