Meet Sarfowaa Duncan, The Young Lady Who Is Re-Defining Customer Service In Ghana


Customer service is an integral part of every business, to serve a customer \ client is the purpose of every Business. The Business environment is reliant upon sales from an individual or corporate customers.

On the other hand, Customer service in Ghana seems to be in shambles, from hotels to restaurants to fuel stations to boutiques etc. Talk to the ordinary Ghanaian and he will tell you about the worst and worrying nature of customer service in Ghana.

Sarfowaa Duncan, a customer service coach over the weekend held her 1st ever customer service Master Class at Salma’s Eatery, East Legon, Accra. According to the customer service coach, the Master Class was born out of the fact that customers in Ghana seem to be taken for granted by service givers across the country which shouldn’t be. She added that most businesses lack basic professional customer service ethics and believe is about time business owners invest in that area.

The Master Class brought together people from various sectors such as the health, hospitality, banking, retail etc., participants were taken through modern customer service practices which include; knowing the types of customers, identifying basic customer needs, how to meet them, and building customer loyalty

Participants shared their views after the class and expressed how enlightened they have been, showed their appreciation and also requested for more of such Master Classes.

The facilitator, Miss Sarfowaa Duncan is a young entrepreneur and the founder of Duncs Consult. She holds a degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Customer Service. She’s passionate about customer satisfaction, Business growth and sustainability.
